The Webster Conservation Commission is responsible for administering the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act. Wetland resource areas are important to safeguard because they help prevent storm damage, reduce flooding, protect groundwater, prevent pollution, support fish and shellfish and provide wildlife habitat
The Town of Webster Staff meet every other week to discuss land development proposals and provide advice to project proponents on the various regulations and requirements for projects.
The Zoning Board of Appeals has the power to hear appeals, to hear requests for special permits, and to hear requests for variances. Applications are available in the Town Clerk's Office.
