Town Meeting and You describes the experiences of voters in open town meetings. It helps to familiarize those who have not previously attended town meeting with the key elements of this form of local government, and it serves as a refresher for those who have.

BOARD OF SELECTMEN
The Board of Selectmen have called an Annual Town Meeting for Monday, October 20, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bartlett High School Auditorium, 52 Lake Parkway.

The Town of Webster is a medium size community located in central Massachusetts on the Connecticut border. Founded in 1832, it was primarily an industrial center due to its abundant water supply. Textiles and shoe factories flourished in Webster resulting in a population with diverse ethnic backgrounds. By far, the Town's richest asset is the beautiful fresh water, spring fed Lake Chargoggaggoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg. Water activities abound such as fishing, waterskiing, swimming, boating and sailing on this magnificent five mile long lake. Webster is 18 miles south of Worcester, 56 miles southwest of Boston, 33 miles northwest of Providence, Rhode Island and 160 miles from New York City.
