Due to electric infrastructure upgrades required to complete the Church Street Reconstruction Project, Town Hall staff anticipated a scheduled shut down of our electrical systems on Monday, August 24th which prevented us from broadcasting the Board of Selectmen meeting that evening. Please be advised that the Board of Selectmen's meeting scheduled for Monday, August 31st will also not be broadcast on the Government Access Channel 191 as Town Hall staff prepare for a complete shut down of our electrical systems scheduled to occur on Monday, August 31st at 10:00 PM. The Board of Selectmen meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st at 6:00 PM will be broadcast live on the Government Access Channel 191. We apologize for any inconvenience.

BOARD OF SELECTMEN
The Board of Selectmen has called the Annual Town Meeting for Monday, October 19, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bartlett High School Auditorium, 52 Lake Parkway. Anyone wishing to place articles on the Town Meeting Warrant should present them to the Selectmen's Office during regular business hours. Citizen's petitions must contain the signatures of 10 registered (certified) voters. The deadline to submit articles is Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 2:00 P.M.

MEMORIAL BEACH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Board of Selectmen is seeking five (5) active Webster residents to serve on the Memorial Beach Advisory Committee.
The Town of Webster is a medium size community located in central Massachusetts on the Connecticut border. Founded in 1832, it was primarily an industrial center due to its abundant water supply. Textiles and shoe factories flourished in Webster resulting in a population with diverse ethnic backgrounds. By far, the Town's richest asset is the beautiful fresh water, spring fed Lake Chargoggaggoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg. Water activities abound such as fishing, waterskiing, swimming, boating and sailing on this magnificent five mile long lake. Webster is 18 miles south of Worcester, 56 miles southwest of Boston, 33 miles northwest of Providence, Rhode Island and 160 miles from New York City.
Remember you have to apply every year and when you apply it can be for the whole year,(just check off all elections).
