LED Streetlight Conversion Kickoff: 10/1/18!

The time has arrived! On Monday, October 1st, the Town of Webster will begin the process of converting over previously identified streetlights into LED! This process is expected to go very quickly. With funding assistance that came with the Town’s recent designation as a “Green Community”, coupled with credits received from National Grid for additional energy-related initiatives, the Town received substantial assistance in funding this energy reduction, cost-savings measure. Not only will this conversion continue the Town’s mission of improving overall energy efficiency while continuing to implement projects that are environmentally friendly, but it will also create an improved illuminated environment on our streets and in our neighborhoods. We are continually looking forward and planning additional ways to boost Webster’s environmental health. We are very grateful for the continued support of the residents of Webster. Thank you for partnering with us in building a healthier, more environmentally conscious community!
