[ARCHIVED] Update and reminders on usage of parks and playgrounds.

All Town playgrounds are currently closed.  Please follow this rule.  You may think it is safe to have your child play in the playground if you are the only ones there.  The fact of the matter is that germs can be left on the equipment from people before you and transferred to you or your child.

For parks and Memorial Beach we are leaving them open for passive recreational activities. These involve transitory movement such as walking, jogging, running etc. and for solitary fishing.  Athletic and recreational activities that bring participants into close physical contact such as basketball are prohibited.  While sitting inside your car is allowed, sitting outside of your car, sunbathing, and other stationary activities are prohibited at the beach at this time.  This includes having a picnic.  We really want to keep the beach open as long as possible through this time but we are only able to keep it open as long as everyone follows the rules.

Beach stickers are not available at this time.  We want to wait until we are sure the beach can be opened for the entire season before we start selling them.
