Dear Town Residents:
As you may have heard, a Special Town Meeting had been scheduled for October 21, 2019. Unfortunately, the meeting was not posted in accordance with applicable state law. Therefore, the Special Town Meeting will be cancelled. The items that were to have been voted on will be postponed until January 2020 when another Special Town Meeting is already planned.
However, the Annual Town Meeting was posted correctly and will take place on October 21st at 7:00 PM in the auditorium at Bartlett High School. We encourage you to attend.
Ultimately, it is my responsibility to ensure that all notifications for Town Meeting are properly in place. I sincerely apologize for my oversight. To ensure that this does not happen again, we have created a Town Meeting timeline and checklist that will be utilized for future meetings to avoid this issue. You can find the checklist here.
