Services
The Services Division is responsible for the non-patrol, support functions performed by Department Officers. The Services Division is overseen by a Lieutenant and includes such functions as Investigations, Crime Scene Processing, Evidence Management, the School Resource Officer Program, Public Records, and Animal Control.

Detective Bureau
The Webster Police Department’s Detective Bureau is charged with the task of investigating any and all complaints of crimes. The Detective Bureau handles all types of crimes from the simplest assault to the most serious felonies. There are currently three Detectives assigned to the Detective Bureau and their roles and responsibilities are multi-faceted.

Firearms Licensing
Download applicable forms for firearms licensing. All applicants looking to obtain or renew a Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry must scheduled an appoint with the Firearms Licensing Division by emailing firearmslicensing@websterpolice.com.

Records Department
The Records Division is responsible for maintaining all department records, acting as the department liaison to the District Court System, firearms licensing, and responding to all public records requests in accordance with Massachusetts General Law.

Animal Control
The Animal Control Officer responds to lost pets and is responsible for investigating animal bites, animal complaints, and working with local veterinarians to determine an appropriate quarantine procedure to monitor or rule out any possible exposures to the rabies virus.
