The Council meets six times in the fall and six times in the spring.
About the Cultural Council
The Webster Cultural Council is seeking additional members to their board. Our council is a town committee, with members who have an interest in promoting the arts and humanities through state grant awards in our community. Programs in art, music, literature, science and the humanities are eligible and include programs for schools, seniors, community groups and individuals who meet the grant application specifications. We meet six times over the fall and another six times in the spring to award, submit and review grant awards. Appointments are for three years and we are seeking an additional six members at this time.
The Webster Cultural Council is seeking your input. We are asking town residents to give us feedback on how our funds might be best used to promote the arts in our community. While we only receive a small amount from the state, we feel that the town should assist us in establishing a direction for the future. What would you like to see in this town to better our quality of life through the arts? Please feel free to drop us a note on your thoughts.
