Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission
The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC), formed in 1963, is the designated regional planning entity for the Central Massachusetts region, which includes the City of Worcester and the surrounding 39 communities. This region encompasses the southern two-thirds of Worcester County. The Town of Webster appoints three delegates and one alternate to the Commission.

Conservation Commission
The Webster Conservation Commission is responsible for administering the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act. Wetland resource areas are important to safeguard because they help prevent storm damage, reduce flooding, protect groundwater, prevent pollution, support fish and shellfish and provide wildlife habitat

Planning Board
The responsibilities of the Planning Board are varied and governed by the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and include reviewing submitted plans for the development of land for residential, commercial, and other uses. In addition, the Planning Board is responsible conducting public meetings and hearing on applications for Special Permits, Site Plan Approval and various types of Subdivision permits. Applications are available in the Planning Department at the Planning Board webpage.

Webster Cultural Council
Our council is a town committee, with members who have an interest in promoting the arts and humanities through state grant awards in our community. Programs in art, music, literature, science and the humanities are eligible and include programs for schools, seniors, community groups and individuals who meet the grant application specifications.

The Zoning Board of Appeals has the power to hear appeals, to hear requests for special permits, and to hear requests for variances. Applications are available in the Planning Department or on the Zoning Board of Appeals webpage.
